Method overview

  • Because this method places PS steel materials higher than the effective height of members in the form of external tendon (cable) at the top of the low tower in the bridge upper structure, axle force and moment are introduced and efficiently reduce the force of member created at the upper sectional area
  • Structure completed by JES method

Method features

  • (1) Makeshift elements are used for main body structure.
  • (2) Safe and almost zero subsidence effect by using square shied machine in element digging.

Construction method

  • Apply tension on the PC strand settled in excavation equipment with tow machine installed at the arrival side, and insert the JES element, that has joint unit connected to the excavation equipment, from the launching side.
