Automatic wheel measuring system
Objectives
- Being installed on the entry line of the depot, it recognizes the wheels when a train set passes through in a low speed and detects transformed wheels that may cause vibration and derailment accidents in their early stage through roundness, profile, diameter, and crack exploration tests to take proper corrective action. It is composed of automated measuring equipment, various sensors, and control computer. Being associated with higher level inspection information system in the depot, it manages wheel test results so that the results can be reflected on the effective preventive maintenance plan.
