International interns participate inKorea Rail Network Authority’s global internship program

Korea Rail Network Authority announced that it will be running a 4-week (9 Jan.~ 3 Feb.) global internship program. Eight interns taking part in the program are government officials, attorneys and other professionals from 5 different countries (Egypt, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Peru). They are undertaking master’s studies at Korea Development Institute and are making use of the winter break for this program.

The internship program has been offered since 2015 when KRNA and KDI signed an agreement for industry-academia cooperation. For the 3rd International Internship Program, KRNA selected participants from countries in which KRNA has ongoing railway projects or in which KRNA wishes to launch new railway projects.

Internship offers the participants a glance into Korea’s railways and related technologies through special lectures and field trips. For KRNA, it is an opportunity to learn more about the countries and to promote its excellence in railways.
