(The historic moment of the opening of Suseo HSR- the introduction of competitive railway operation system) 

 

Korea Rail Network Authority (KR) had a opening ceremony of  Suseo High Speed Railway at Suseo station, with honored guests including the prime minister Hwang Kyeo-ahn. Suseo HSR is expected to solve the problem of insufficient track capacity between Seoul-Siheung and provide conveinet high speed rail service for residents in eastern and southern Seoul, who had difficulty in reaching Seoul station, as there are now addtional HSR stations in Suseo, Dongtan and Jije. Kang Yeong-il, the CEO of KR,  announced that "Suseo HSR is expected to provide faster, more convenient and more safe railway service. This successful opening of Suseo HSR will be a good opportunity to show off the excellence of Korean railway industry".
